Urban Permaculture Homestead

Prescott, Arizona USA
This 1/8 acre urban Permaculture site is located at 5200' in the high desert of Arizona.

Challenge:
Create a lush Permaculture landscape full of abundant food and habitat without using any city water for irrigation.

Solution:
With rainwater harvesting, greywater use, and water conservation strategies, the home grew abundant food gardens. Traditional sunken garden beds, Native American and other heirloom desert adapted seed varieties and local heirloom fruit trees contributed to the resiliency.
